For many years I have been working intensively
in the field of photography - especially the black and white photography - sometimes more, sometimes less. I find it fascinating to look at things through the approach of reducing them to the gray scale.

I am not a photographer for snapshots, I am a photographer for quiet moments. I need time to select and discover through the viewfinder the moment which is right for me. At that stage the process of turning the colours into the gray scale
is performed in my mind.

Up to date all shootings have been created analog. Some of them have been hand-developed by myself in the own b/w laboratory. Since 2011 most of my shootings are done in digital photography.
I am interested in structures, reticular formations, rhythmically repeated elements, surfaces that bear evidence of long exposures and the influence of nature, scattering, matching shapes and lines. Sometimes my choice is determined by the modulation of light and shadow.

For me the mystery of the visible world that surrounds us lies in the fine nuances of the grays.
